Academics

Each year, AESA students take four core courses in the subjects of Literature, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Throughout their high school career, they will also take classes in World Languages, Fine Arts, Health and Physical Education, Communication and other elective subjects.

Our academics align to high standards that prepare students for success at the university level. We adapt to individual student needs and pacing and have extensive experience working with English language learners and students with mild dyslexia and/or ADHD. Also, we offer honors classes and accelerated tracks to gifted students seeking a challenge.

Since many of our students are very busy with extracurricular activities, we try to minimize the amount of homework involved in our program by focusing intensively on academics during the school day. We engage our students with interesting activities whenever possible to make learning more enjoyable and motivate our school community.
